Human rights are important because they protecting everyone's dignity and enabling them to live with freedom, equality, and justice, regardless of their background. However, some people question what they are. Students will learn about the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
In order to learn more about human rights, students will research 2 different human rights that are important to them. They will find 2 sources for each human right, so 4 sources total. They can have more than 4 sources, but should have at least 4 sources minimum. See Mrs. MacFarland’s example. You can access the library’s databases here.
